A new way to characterize waste streams

Wasoria Characterization A new way to characterize waste streams

Optimize sorting and recovery of your materials through precise and automated characterization.

Automating material characterization

Characterization analyzes the quality and composition of incoming and outgoing flows

Wasoria Characterization digitizes waste flow characterization by automating analysis, measurement and reporting. Installed on an existing characterization bench or integrated into a new system, our gantry equipped with the Wasoria Box transforms a tedious manual task into a digital, precise and traceable process.

Understanding the challenges of waste characterization

The Wasoria characterization bench

From loading the sample to weighing it, step by step

Tipper and vibrating feeder, touch terminal, gantry fitted with the Wasoria Box, conveyor and scale: the bench brings everything needed to characterize a sample together in a single workstation. Explore it in 3D.

Overview

The bench at a glance

From the tipper to the scale, every part of the bench plays a role in characterizing the sample.

Pick a step to explore each part of the bench.

Scroll to go through the steps.

Step 1/5 · Feeding

Loading the sample

The tipper empties the bin into the vibrating feeder. The vibrating tray spreads the waste and lays it in an even layer on the conveyor.

Step 2/5 · Control

A touch terminal for the operator

Mounted on an articulated arm, the touch screen sits right next to the operator, who starts the characterization, follows it in real time, then validates and exports the results.

Step 3/5 · Analysis

The Wasoria Box analyzes every item

Mounted on top of the gantry, the Wasoria Box captures every item passing on the belt. Artificial intelligence identifies it and classifies it into your categories, with the same criteria from one run to the next.

Step 4/5 · Conveying

A continuous flow to the scale

Past the gantry, the waste carries on along the conveyor at a steady pace, with no manual sorting, to the bin at the end of the belt.

Step 5/5 · Weighing

Weighing the sample

The bin stands on a platform scale, which determines the exact total weight of the characterized sample.

Frequently asked questions about Wasoria Characterization

What does the Wasoria Characterization bench consist of?

The bench brings together on a single station a tipper and a vibrating feeder, a touchscreen terminal on an articulated arm, a gantry equipped with the Wasoria Box, a conveyor and a platform scale. Each bench is adapted to the site that hosts it.

How are objects identified and classified?

Mounted at the top of the gantry, the Wasoria Box captures every object passing on the conveyor. Artificial intelligence identifies it and classifies it into your categories, with the same criteria from one run to the next.

What results do you get at the end of a characterization?

You get the detailed composition of the sample and its mass purity, obtained through AI and the Wasoria Box sensors. To learn more, see the challenges of waste characterization.

How are reports delivered?

Results are delivered as a PDF report or directly as data. You receive them by email, retrieve them through our API or view them from an online dashboard.

Can Wasoria Characterization be installed on our current bench?

Yes. The gantry adapts to your existing characterization bench, keeping the required modifications to a minimum. We can also help you design an optimized bench.
